Carinthian rye bread is bread that housewives prepare according to an old sourdough recipe. Even today, it plays an important role in the everyday and festive diet in Koroška. The sourdough is kept from baking to baking. Their knowledge of bread preparation is mostly passed down within families from generation to generation.
