Shrovetide in Drežnica and Drežniške Ravne
These rituals and events take place at Shrovetide in Drežnici and Drežniške Ravne, on Jezerca and in Magozd. The main figures involved are “the ugly ones”, who chase youngsters and cover them with ashes, and “the beautiful ones’, who visit homes to receive gifts and to dance.
The bearers of the element of the intangible cultural heritage are Boys Community from Drežnica and Boys Community from Drežniške Ravne.
