Pumpkin oil is obtained from pumpkin seeds, which are ground, mixed with water and roasted, then the resulting mixture is pressed to get oil. Most of the oil mills are in the Štajerska and Prekmurje regions, where pumpkin oil is a characteristic part of the cuisine.
