Mobile beekeeping involves transporting bees and hives to make best use of available forage. It requires a knowledge of beekeeping and transporting bees, of plants suitable for honey production and of the relevant legislation; it also demands that the beekeeper carefully monitors weather conditions.

Nomination Beekeeping in Slovenia, a way of life, was on the 1. December 2022 listed on the UNESCO Representative List of intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
