Dialects along the River Čabranka and upper Kolpa, from the village of Babno Polje to Mirtoviči are a mixture of Dolenjska, Rovte, Gorenjska and south Bela krajina dialects, showing the influence of the German formerly spoken in the Kočevje area and the current Slovene and Croatian standard languages.
